Doctoral programs provide an excellent foundation of knowledge and skills in preparation for the role of researcher. However in the traditional role of professor, excellent research skills are critical but are not sufficient. This session will deal with a questions such as: What are the skills required to thrive in the academic profession? How does one develop the necessary competencies while completing doctoral research? What materials should be collected in preparation for an academic interview?
