Research Interests
I have been managing industrial research efforts for the past sixteen
years, most recently
focused on emerging technologies such as novel curatives for one part
thermosets,
polymer blends and compounds, UV curable materials, and polymer-based
nanocomposites.
This work entailed novel development work with a broad range of thermosets
and thermoplastics.
As a new faculty member, I am building my research program around three main themes:
- The use of polymer structure-property relationships to design novel
materials
and/or morphologies with enhanced properties.
- The achievement of novel materials, morphologies, or processing methodologies
through the use of reactive polymer systems.
- The synthesis of polymer nanocomposites based on hightly ordered micro-structural
domains
