The Graduate Students Club promotes professional and interpersonal
enrichment of graduate student life in the Department of Chemical Engineering.
The objectives of the Chem Eng Grad Club are:
- To promote the involvement of graduate students with external professional
and academic associations
- To promote a friendly environment by organizing a series of social
activities, such as a Welcome Party for new students, an Annual Departmental
Golf Day, a Chrismas Party, and many other casual events
- To organize an annual "Seminar Day", an informal forum at the Department
of Chemical Engineering where graduate students and visiting scholars
share the preliminary results of their research projects with each other
- To assist and guide new students once they have been accepted into
the Department of Chemical Engineering and upon arrival to McMaster
University
- To serve as a link between the department faculty and the Faculty
of Engineering administration and graduate students
- To foster links between McMaster University and the greater Hamilton community
via participation in charitable events and organizations
