ABSTRACT

3M is a global Fortune 500 company that is well-known for its high level of innovation and market leadership.  3M has a well-established R&D presence all over the world. Presently the company operates laboratories in 34 countries. There are over 30 labs established outside the United States, and about 40 labs in the United States.  Over 10,000 of technical employees are employed by the company.  In this presentation an overview of numerous technology platforms that were developed at 3M will be presented.  The presentation will also include a discussion on different career paths that are typically undertaken by chemical engineers at 3M.
