ABSTRACT

Dr. Moore will trace her career from graduate school, through her research career at Xerox, to her current job overseeing technology development at Hatch, a Canadian based engineering consulting firm in the Metals and Mining, Energy and Infrastructure sectors.  The range of subject areas in these various stages has been wide - from fundamental gas phase kinetics in her doctoral research, to emulsion polymerization and scale-up engineering at Xerox, to a wide variety of projects across the resource and utility industry served by Hatch.  Dr. Moore will comment on how she has applied her chemical engineering skills throughout her career and share how she has made her career choices.  She will also discuss the various natures of research in the university, industrial lab, and engineering consultancy environments.
